Adjustable luminaire featuring a painted or nickel-plated shaped steel tube that slides vertically along a ceiling-to-floor cable kept in tension by a cast-iron counterweight. Fixture head in black injection-moulded elastomer with integrated switch. Special edition released to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Parentesi. Created to mark the 50th anniversary of Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù’s iconic lamp, Parentesi 50 revives Castiglioni’s original moulded packaging and colours each component as first envisioned, replacing the rubber base with silicone. The commemorative edition features Turquoise, a favourite of Castiglioni used in his own home in the 1970s, and Signal Orange, the shade Manzù applied to his car prototypes. Parentesi 50 honours a lamp that has shaped the history of lighting and remains in the permanent collection at MoMA and other major museums.

Details

Designer: Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzu (1971)

Dimensions: 4.3" x 22.8" (cable 157.5")

Material: Steel, rubber, steel cable

IP Rating: IP20

Light Source

Power: 120 W

Dimmable: Yes – Dimmer Integrated

Lamp Type: Halogen

Number of Lamps: 1

Light Source Included: No

Care

Switch off and disconnect from the mains before cleaning.

Clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth; do not use alcohol, solvents or abrasive detergents.

https://260samplesale.com/products/flos-nov26-parentesi-suspension-dimmable-50th-anniversary-turquoise
